Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking The Spine, where you can spotlight an upcoming release that you're eagerly anticipating!!

This week I'm waiting on:

Between the Spark and the Burn(Between #2) by April Genevieve Tulcholke
Releases on: August 14th, 2014
Add it on Goodreads!

FROM GOODREADS:

The conclusion to Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, this gothic thriller romance with shades of Stephen King and Daphne du Maurier is a must-read for fans of Beautiful Creatures and Anna Dressed in Blood.

Freddie once told me that the Devil created all the fear in the world. But then, the Devil once told me that it's easier to forgive someone for scaring you than for making you cry.

The problem with River West Redding was that he'd done both to me.

The crooked-smiling liar River West Redding, who drove into Violet's life one summer day and shook her world to pieces, is gone. Violet and Neely, River's other brother, are left to worry- until they catch a two a.m. radio program about strange events in a distant mountain town. They take off in search of River but are always a step behind, finding instead frenzied towns, witch hunts, and a wind-whipped island with the thrum of something strange and dangerous just under the surface. It isn't long before Violet begins to wonder if Neely, the one Redding brother she thought trustworthy, has been hiding a secret of his own...

"Between the Spark and the Burn is the heart-pounding conclusion to the lavishly rendered, darkly romantic, and beautifully unsettling [Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea.]"-Melissa Marr

Why I'm waiting:

After agonizing over whether to buy the first book or not due to all the mixed reviews, I finally won a copy, and I am so so so happy I did. I quickly ate up all that was inside Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, and that conclusion had me reeling for more!! I have so many questions that I need answered ASAP! As far as I'm concerned, August can't come soon enough. I need more River West Redding in my life, because even though he can be a little creepy, he still seems to make my knees go weak.

  7. I sooo want to read Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, Becca. It's been on my tbr since before it released. :( I love the cover for Between the Spark and the Burn. It has the same creepy element of the first one, I think. I love Gothic in YA. I'm gonna have to push BtDatDBS higher up on the priority list. Great pick!

  10. Since I don't know if my other comment went through or not, feel free to delete this one if it's a repeat! My tablet is being impossible today!

I have this one on my list too, but since I've heard quite a bit about the cliffhanger at the end... I'm gonna wait and binge read them 2 together!
