Life Of A Blogger - Perks of being an Introvert

Sunday, February 23, 2014

Life of a Blogger is a fun weekly feature hosted by the lovely Novel Heartbeat, where bloggers post about a certain topic each week so our followers can get to know us better! This is my first Life of a Blogger post, and I'm super excited to share more about my life with you guys!

This week's topic:

INTROVERT OR EXTROVERT?

Instead of explaining why I'm totes an introvert, I'm going to post a few perks of being an introvert!

1. Your neighbors never have to call the cops on you for parties, because you are always inside reading. You can never read too loud. Book Party over here. WOOT WOOT. Book Party over there.

2. Your boyfriend never has to wonder what you're doing on a Friday night, because you never left the house.

3. You don't have to worry about what you're going to wear tomorrow, because let's face it, you aren't changing out of your pajamas.

4. Your books are never ever neglected.

5. You don't have plans with your friends this weekend? Psh, I do. With ma bookz.

6. You don't have to have awkward small talk with new people you meet, because you never leave the house to actually meet people.

7. Your mailman may think you are a total shut in, and he's right. But who is the person out delivering mail in the snow, hail, sleet, and rain? YUP. THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT.

8. No worries here over whether or not you will catch the zombie virus, because you would actually have to interact with someone to catch it.

9. You can eat all the noms in the world, and not worry whether the person next to you is judging you by how much you actually stuff in your mouth.

10. Worried about those pics from your crazy drunken night on the town last night? NBD. Because you're idea of a crazy drunken night is just you passed out from drinking too many wine coolers with your nose in a book.

Okay, I'll admit I had way too much with this Perks list. I hope you enjoyed my sarcastic introvert perk list of things that may or may not be true for me, and when I say that, I totes mean they are!

  3. HAHA great list! I can relate to a lot of these... Except #2 - I don't have a boyfriend because that means you actually have to interact with someone LOL.

  4. Ah! THIS is my life!! I mean, it's extreme, but practically! And it's very perk-filled, isn't it? My roommate comes home with crazy stories of awful things that happen when she goes out, and I tell her how I spilled some tea on my pajama pants so I had to change into new pajamas! It's a relaxing life. :)

    Great post!

THAT'S WHAT NORMAL PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO ON FRIDAY NIGHTS! Ha, I'm weird, but I love it and this life! It is very relaxing, and totes drama free!! Thanks Rachel :)

  6. Haha defo loved the sarcasm. It took some time for me to understand that being an introvert is not 'wrong' and now I think they are the coolest people (of course)...our minds are dangerously powerful (I say).

    Thanks for posting

    1. Yeah, I agree. I used to just go out, because I thought that's what was expected of me- even if it wasn't something I wanted to do. I mean, it was fun, but I just decided I no longer wanted to do that anymore so I stopped. My mom kinda gives me crap about it sometimes and says she's worried that I'm not having the experiences I should at my age, but....oh well. This is my life, and being ashamed of doing what you love and what makes YOU happy is not the way I wanna live it! I agree completely with you!! Thanks for checking it out! I'm glad you liked it.

Yeah, in my crazy party days I had the cops called a couple times and it was NOT fun. I had a lot of fun in those days, but I'm not sorry that they're over!

    5. I have friends vicariously through books!
    6. I hate small talk.
    8. Lmao, I probably wouldn't even know it was happening because I don't watch the news or get out much (other than work)
    9. Hahahahahaaa I'm SUCH a slob when I eat. This is definitely a bonus.
    10. Yes, but..."too many" for me these days is like 2. *sheepish grin*
