Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking The Spine, where you can spotlight an upcoming release that you're eagerly anticipating!
This week I'm waiting on:
Wild by Alex Mallory
Releases on: July 8th, 2014 Add it to Goodreads!
Dara expected to find natural wonders when she set off for a spring break camping trip. Instead, she discovers a primitive boy- he's stealthy and handsome and he might be following her. Intrigued, Dara seeks him out and sets a catastrophe in motion.
Thrust back into society, Cade struggles with the realization that the life he knew was a lie. But he's not the only one. Trying to explain life in a normal town leaves Dara questioning it.
As the media swarm and the police close in, Dara and Cade risk everything to get closer. But will the truth about Cade's past tear them apart?
A YA Tarzan retelling.
WHY I'M WAITING:
1. I adore retellings.
2. I was obsessed with the Tarzan movie when I was younger, so that makes me even more excited for this particular retelling.

I remember seeing this one on Tea Time, but I was as intrigued about it as I'm now after reading the synopsis!
ReplyDeleteGreat pick, Becca!
I hadn't heard of this before, but it sounds really good, especially since it is a retelling of Tarzan. I hope it's one of those books that once I pick it up, I can't put it down until I figure out the secret to Cade's past.

Sounds like a great read, will be looking out for it! Great pick and I hope you enjoy it :)
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss hearing about this book until now?! It sounds SO NEAT. I love that it's a Tarzan retelling, because Tarzan is always skipped over and forgotten and left behind by its lonesome. It deserves some love too! And this one sound like it could be REALLY well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your pick, Becca!
