Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine, where you can spotlight an upcoming release you're eagerly anticipating!
This week I'm waiting on:
Firewalker (The Worldwalker Trilogy #2) by Josephine Angelini
From Goodreads: Worlds divide, magic slays, and love lies in the second book of Josephine Angelini's The Worldwalker Trilogy.
"You think I'm a monster, but my choices, as ruthless as they seem, are justified."
Lily is back in her own universe, and she's ready to start a new life with Rowan by her side. True, she almost died in the Pyre that fueled their escape from New Salem, and must hide her magic for the safety of everyone she cares about, but compared to fighting the Woven, the monstrous creatures inhabiting the alternate Salem, life is looking pretty good.
Unfortunately, Lillian, ruthless ruler of the 13 Cities, is not willing to let Lily go that easily. If she can't persuade Lily to return to her world, she will force her to come back by doing away with the ones she loves.
Picking up right where Trial by Fire left off, Firewalker is another sexy, fast-paced, heartbreaking thrill ride from internationally bestselling author Josephine Angelini!
Why I'm Waiting:
1. DAT COVER! Seriously though, I thought I loved Trial by Fire's original cover. Not anymore. I think this is the first cover change that I am ecstatic about and wish they would make the first book with the new cover in hardback when it releases, because it's just so dang prettttyyyyyyy!
2. I wasn't expecting to love Trial by Fire, because I heard some rather meh reviews on it, but I was a black sheep and loved it oh so much! The story is so rich, the world-building is wonderful, the love interest....oh, how I love him, I could go on and on about it (or you could check out my review!), and ever since I finished, I've been dying to get my hands on the next book! I need to know what happens next!!!!
3. ROWAN. That is all.
What do you think about Firewalker? Do you like the cover changes as much as me? Have you read Trial by Fire? What did you think? Let's discuss!
