My Last Kiss by Bethany Neal
What if your last kiss was with the wrong boy?Cassidy Haines remembers her first kiss vividly. It was on the old covered bridge the summer before her freshman year with boyfriend of three years, Ethan Keys. But her last kiss- the one she shared with someone at her seventeenth birthday party the night she died- is a blur. Cassidy is trapped in the living world, not only mourning the loss of her human body, but left with the grim suspicion that her untimely death wasn't a suicide as everyone assumes. She can't remember anything from the weeks leading up to her birthday and she's worried that she may have betrayed her boyfriend.
If Cassidy is to uncover the truth about that fateful night and make amends with the only boy she'll ever love, she must face her past and all the decisions she made- good and bad- that led to her last kiss.
Why I'm waiting:
First of all, THAT COVER!! Isn't it just beautiful?! That's what originally caught my eye about My Last Kiss. This book kind of reminds me of Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver, and I absolutely LOVED that book! The synopsis for this one grabbed me right away, because I couldn't imagine dying and knowing that I may have screwed up things with the only love of my life! My curiosity is definitely piqued with this one, and I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy! :)

As for what book I'm waiting for... Ever hear of a series called Mythos Academy? Last book if the series, Killer Frost, comes out next month! And, okay, I'm not really waiting, per se, since I have an ARC... But can you feel the peer pressure?! *shoves "Touch of Frost" (Book #1) by Jennifer Estep into your face* CAN YOU FEEEL IT?!?! *evil laugh*
P.S. Sorry for being weird... It's been a long day and I feel kind of delirious, LOL

DeleteI just heard of this one last week, bc of the abundance of ARCs in the air so I checked it out, and I NEEDS IT!
*hangs head in shame* Yes I feel the pressure!!! Quit goading me into buying more books!! I ALREADY HAVE TWO BOOKSHELVES OF BOOKS THAT NEED READING!! (but I can't staaaahp!!!!!)

DeleteAwesome pick! I love the cover too. And now that you mentioned it, it does kind of remind me of Before I Fall! Stories like this always make me a bit sad though, because it's hard to have a happily ever after, but yes, this one sounds really good. (PS. I think it's Netgalley for request right now).

DeleteI love the cover too! And now that you mentioned it, it does remind me of Before I Fall (which yes, was awesome haha). These types of books almost make me a little sad though b/c it's harder to get a happily ever after (since she's dead), but it does sound really good! Great pick!

DeleteI got this one this week! I'm really looking forward to it. It sounds really interesting and, from what I've gathered, it's about a dead girl trying to find her killer? Maybe? Too lazy to recheck and read the synopsis. But if that's accurate, it sounds awesome.

I mean the synopsis doesn't technically mention that, but I think that's because she says she doesn't remember the few days before her death and she doesn't think she committed suicide! Either way, I'm extremely excited for it and I can't wait to hear what you think of it!!!

DeleteLET ME LOVE YOU! I died. Seriously! BUT OMG. This book.... sounds amazing! I hadn't heard of it before, but I'm so going to be putting it on the TBR! The cover is TOTALLY GORGEOUS (I'm in love with the title treatment and that photo!) and the synopsis does remind me of Before I Fall. I loved that one too!!

I adore anything Lauren Oliver so Before I Fall is def one of my favs! I'm hoping this one is just as good, or if not, better!!! But heck, this book is pretty enough just for me to display on my shelf, so if I don't like it, I won't be *too* incredibly disappointed! LOL!
