This is my very first Stacking the Shelves ever so please, bear with me! Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Review's, where bloggers share their weekly book hauls!
My very first haul is going to be kind of a doozy, because I am including my Christmas loot, which I'll be honest, is CRAZY! :)
You thought I was kidding when I said it was CRAZY, huh? Nope, I have a book buying problem. If you need the proof, please take a look at the photo above for reference. Anyways, since the photo is a little hard to decipher, I'm going to break my loot down for you.
Bought:
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell (Thanks Emily from Falling For YA!)
NOT PICTURED are the two metal hook bookmarks that Emily also got me! She totally turned me into a metal bookmark convert! I absolutely love them, and now so does my mom! :)

Sadly, I have not read any of these books (I did read Everneath, though), bot WOW! What an amazing haul! I have yet to buy books with all the GCs I got for both my b-day and Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI didn't bother with writing a post this week because I only got one for review: Paranoia by J.R. Johansson. I figured I'd just wait until I got more stuff to share :)
Oooh! You need to read The Distance Between Us and Crash!!! I've already read them and I fell in love! I read Everneath when it first came out, and just haven't had a chance to get to the second one. I figure I'll probably re-read so I can jog my memory on what happened before I crack open Everbound.
ReplyDeleteYeah......I went a little overboard on buying books last month.
I haven't read Insomnia yet. I have to see lots of buzz about it to read from a guy's POV. Sometimes, I just have a hard time reading when it's a guy. I've been debating on this one for awhile, though. :)
Ooh, Crash sounds very interesting! I'll definitely have to check it out! As for the other one... I'm not very big on contemps ;)
DeleteYeah, I see what you mean about a guys POV... But I thought this one was pretty decent. But wow, now that I think about it, I haven't read TOO many books with guys POV! The one guy I love without a doubt is Percy Jackson! He is just so much fun and has such a sarcastic mouth on him! Lol
I just happened to pick it up, but I remember really loving another series of hers. I devoured both Crash and Bang pretty quickly!
DeleteOh wow! Another person who doesn't like contemps very much!!! YAY! I hardly EVER read contemps, but I read Pivot Point by Kasie West and absolutely loved her style, and everyone was raving about her other book as well so I picked it up. She may have turned me into a little tiny bit of a contemp liker.
Percy Jackson. This one is sadly still sitting on my TBR shelf. I just haven't had a chance to pick it up yet! I need to get on that!!
Rick Riordan is one of my favorite authors! And yes, you need to get on that STAT, lol.
DeleteYou don't do contemps either?? Wow. I may have to give that one a chance if you really liked it ;)
I know, I know! I've been meaning to, but I have a billion books on my TBR, and then new books come out, and it just keeps getting pushed back! :( The ever present problem of being a book lover! lol!
DeleteNo, I really don't care for them. I would much rather read something with a little more imagination in them than something that could happen in real life! I just really really like Kasie West's writing style, though, so I just decided to try to give this one a chance. I'm really glad I did!
Congrats on your EPIC Christmas haul! I love the new Diviners cover - it's still very true to the story. Also, you're just in time - the sequel comes out in August!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy StS
I LOVE the new cover as well! I think that's another reason why I just HAD to have it! :)
DeleteWow, nice haul you got! I just read The Distance Between Us not too long ago, and it was great! Hope you like it. There's a lot of good books in there!! Happy reading! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! The Distance Between Us was actually one of the first books I read out of this haul, just because I enjoyed Pivot Point so much! I'm not much of a contemp fan, but I adored The Distance Between Us. I will probably actually reread it because I loved it so much!
DeleteAmazing haul! The Distance Between Us and Everbound are two of my favorite books that I read last year. Rose Under Fire and Not A Drop To Drink both sound great, too. I hope you enjoy all of your books :)
ReplyDeleteAw thanks Montana! I absolutely fell in love with The Distance Between Us!! I am enjoying them so much! They have gotten a lot of cover petting! LOL!
