Bad Romeo was a book I stumbled upon and went into it not expecting much. What I got out of it was a whole lot of angst and heart break and feels. Oh how I loved the feels. I'm an emotional person, I mean I cry during commercials with dogs, but for books only certain authors can make me tear up. Leisa Rayven is one of those authors. 

The way she tells the story between Ethan and Cassie is so unique. It was like reading two romances at once. Cassie and Ethan have a history. A complicated messy history that started six years ago in college. So what happens when they get casted to play lovers in a play. Bad Romeo alternated between the past and present, weaving their love story together into one that had me flipping page after page on my nook desperately wanting to know all about these two characters.  

Ethan and Cassie are both actors who star in their school's production of Romeo and Juliet where their friction and sexual tension gets put to the test. According to Ethan, he's no good with relationships and will only end up destroying Cassie. But Cassie doesn't want to hear it. She just wants to be with Ethan.

Turned out, Ethan was right, he did destroy Cassie. 

While reading, I could see such a difference in the person Cassie was in college to the person she is now. She's more cold and angry. So very angry. She wasn't the only one that changed though. Ethan was almost unrecognizable in the present. He grew so much as a person and had me falling for him. 

I loved the way he was fighting for Cassie. Proving to her that he's grown up and wasn't the same guy she once knew. Cassie's strength into not instantly giving in to Ethan was great, she really made him work for it, because although she's never stopped loving him, she doesn't trust him and doesn't know if she can ever begin to again. 

Warning: do not read this book unless you plan on reading the second book right after. It ends in a cliffhanger that will leave you desperately ordering the sequel.
