From Goodreads: The epic conclusion to Richelle Mead's New York Times bestselling Bloodlines series is finally here...

Sydney Sage is an Alchemist, one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of humans and vampires. They protect vampire secrets-- and human lives.

After their secret romance is exposed, Sydney and Adrian find themselves facing the wrath of both the Alchemists and the Moroi in this electrifying conclusion to Richelle Mead's New York Times bestselling Bloodlines series. When the life of someone they both love is put on the line, Sydney risks everything to hunt down a deadly former nemesis. Meanwhile, Adrian becomes enmeshed in a puzzle that could hold the key to a shocking secret about spirit magic, a secret that could shake the entire Moroi World.

My Thoughts:

Dearest The Ruby Circle,

I'm so sad that you are the last book of this wonderful world. EXTREMELY SAD OKAY?! I'm still crying over the fact that I won't see your characters anymore. But I'm holding out hope that Richelle Mead will continue with a new series in your world as she hinted in her acknowledgements. You came out on my birthday this year, and it was the most perfect birthday gift of all time. I devoured you in one sitting.

You continue the story of Sydney Sage, an ex-alchemist, and Adrian Ivashkov, a Moroi vampire, who are now married (EEEP) and stuck in the Moroi world to protect Sydney from the crazy Alchemists who don't agree with her new choices in life, and the Moroi aren't too happy about their new relationship either, but there are bigger problems to deal with than the new exposed romance. Jill is still missing, and Sydney puts her life on the line to find her and her kidnapper. Meanwhile, Adrian finds out a shocking secret that could change the entire Moroi world forever.

Sydney and Adrian are my ultimate OTP. They are so freaking adorable together. I love Sydney, because she's one of the strongest female heroines in the YA world today, and I love Adrian, because of his snark, wit, and swoony-ness. I was enraptured with how Richelle planned on wrapping everything up in this series, and she didn't disappoint. Some cray cray things go down inside your pages, The Ruby Circle. I never would've guessed what she was going to pull, or who the ultimate kidnapper was going to turn out to be. I was excited to see the inside of the other crazy clan that hates Vampires too! Of course, you wouldn't be so amazing if we didn't get a glimpse of some of our favorite dhampirs....Eddie, Rose, Dmitri, etc. I was so happy and satisfied with how everything turned out in the end.

I don't want to give too much away for my readers, because they deserve not to be spoiled! But I think nearly everyone will be happy with your conclusion. If they have dived into your world before, then you are a book not to be missed, The Ruby Circle. And if they haven't yet stepped into the fascinating stories your author, Richelle Mead, has spun in the Vampire Academy novels and previous Bloodlines novels, then I encourage them to do it as soon as possible!!!  FIVE HEARTS TO YOU!!!

Wanting more forever & always,

Becca

  1. YAY for the final book in a series being a 5 stars read! It's always fantastic when we get to see loved characters from the original series in a spin-off!
I still need to read VA and of course this one but I guess now it's the time, since I won't have to deal with long waits between books with awful cliffhangers!
