Waiting on Wednesday (39)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine, where you can spotlight an upcoming release you're eagerly anticipating!

This week I'm waiting on:

Hold Me Like a Breath by Tiffany Schmidt
Releases on: May 19th, 2015 ADD IT TO GOODREADS!

From Goodreads: Penelope Landlow has grown up with the knowledge that almost anything can be bought or sold-- including body parts. She's the daughter of one of the three crime families that control the black market for organ transplants.

Penelope's surrounded by all the suffocating privilege and protection her family can provide, but they can't protect her from the autoimmune disorder that causes her to bruise so easily.

And in her family's line of work no one can stay safe forever.

All Penelope has ever wanted is freedom and independence. But when she's caught in the crossfire as rival families scramble for prominence, she learns that her wishes come with casualties, that betrayal hurts worse than bruises, that love is a risk worth taking...and maybe she's not as fragile as everyone thinks.

Why I'm Waiting:
1. DAT COVER
2. It's a thriller, and right now, I'm itching for any and all the thrillers.
3. I really want to know more about Penelope's autoimmune disease. My dad has one, so I'm really curious to read about someone else that suffers like him.
4. Her family sells black market organs. What the eff?! Intrigued, I am.

Let's discuss!
What do you think of Hold Me Like a Breath?
Have you heard of it before? Itching to read it as much as I am?
What's your pick for Waiting on Wednesday this week?

  6. Ooh, this does sound good! Bruising easily because of an autoimmune disease - I think I can relate to this protagonist a lot!
