FROM GOODREADS: One kiss could be the last.

Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal. But with a kiss that kills anything with a soul, she's anything but normal. Half demon, half gargoyle, Layla has abilities no one else possesses.

Raised among the Wardens—a race of gargoyles tasked with hunting demons and keeping humanity safe—Layla tries to fit in, but that means hiding her own dark side from those she loves the most. Especially Zayne, the swoon-worthy, incredibly gorgeous and completely off-limits Warden she's crushed on since forever.

Then she meets Roth—a tattooed, sinfully hot demon who claims to know all her secrets. Layla knows she should stay away, but she's not sure she wants to—especially when that whole no-kissing thing isn't an issue, considering Roth has no soul.

But when Layla discovers she's the reason for the violent demon uprising, trusting Roth could not only ruin her chances with Zayne…it could brand her a traitor to her family. Worse yet, it could become a one-way ticket to the end of the world.

Oh my gosh. THIS. BOOK. Everytime someone refers to White Hot Kiss, they just need to say THIS BOOK. Just like that, all caps and everything, because THIS BOOK. Oh, my feels. My feelings were all over the place with THIS BOOK.

I won THIS BOOK (and it's SIGNED! Weeeeee!) from the lovely Grace at Books of Love back in November. It took me awhile to get to read it though, because of NaNoWriMo. Don't even get me started on how many books sat on my shelf looking miserable and begging me to read them during NaNo. Before I start rambling on NaNo (because I can feel the word vomit coming), let me get back to THIS BOOK.

I absolutely adore anything Jennifer Armentrout writes, and she does not disappoint with this new series!! In fact, I didn't think I would be able to ship a couple more than Daemon and Katy from the Lux series, but I think Layla and Roth rise to the occasion. There is a bit of a love triangle in this book, but I don't think it was too hard for me to decide which team I was rooting for. Roth is just...so delicious. That is the only word I can think of to describe him. Zayne put me off right at the start with his attitude, and the way he was all over Danika, but he redeems himself near the end even if it's not enough to sway me in his favor. He's more of a friend for Layla than a love interest. However, anytime Roth's name even appeared on the page, my heart rate increased exponentially.

Layla's character was very relatable. I could really understand what it felt like to be lied to, and could really relate with her reactions to certain unfolding of events, and her two best friends, Stacey and Sam, are a-dor-able. Can I get more of them, please?! The banter between the three friends is easy-going, and had me laughing through the majority of the novel. And Sam's interesting facts? How does he even remember that many? They were so unique, and I couldn't get enough of them!

The action was fast paced, with gruesome demons appearing when you least expected them to, and it kept me up reading until the wee morning hours. (See? It's a good thing I waited until after NaNo to pick this one up!) The drama was intense, and then there are a few big reveals that I never even saw coming. I was wide eyed for the rest of the novel.

Although the ending of White Hot Kiss was brutal on my poor heart, (and I need the next installment RIGHT MEOW!!!!) Armentrout delivers nothing less than page-turning action, and wicked chemistry between her characters. I cannot wait to see what kind of rollercoaster of emotions she sends me on with the next installment! BUY THIS BOOK! Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed!
